Let's talk about the powerful changes created by the Ripple Effect.
Within the first year of starting my business, I was invited to a women's networking group. I loved the energy of the group, went to more meetings, and met many awesome women.
THE FIRST RIPPLE: INITIAL CONNECTION
After a few months of being involved, there was an opportunity to help Habitat build a home during their Women's Build Week, organized by this group.
It was a beautiful blue sky, crisp Spring day, and about 6 of us represented our women's group. I was not aware that one of these ladies would play a bigger role in my life. I met Barbara (the taller woman in a pink hard hat behind me) and appreciated her strength, determination, and no-nonsense hard work approach while also having fun. You can see why we hit it off right away.
Our job most of the day was to move truss designed i-beams (about 30-40 feet long) from one side of the construction site to the other which involved a tricky turn manuever. This required communication, leadership, and coordination between four of us. We got into a groove that was so efficient we didn't want to switch out our team members. We just connected and worked incredibly well together.
While we were just the beginning of this house build, we met the future owner, learned a little of her story, and felt her gratitude for many hands helping so her kids would have a safe roof over their head and a place to call home.
THE NEXT RIPPLE: SUPPORT
Over the years, Barbara and I kept in touch from time to time. I supported her by attending her first in-person conference a few years back. We have walked together, met over coffee, and talked things through (business and personal). She has become a dear friend and I respect her professional guidance that she has graciously shared with me.
In 2022, I started met Tracie who is a business owner and a mentor for SCORE at a magazine launch party. We actually had met previously at a different women's networking group and unbeknown to me, I had left quite an impression on her. Tracie was already meeting with Barbara separately, and I was invited to join their monthly mini-mastermind and accountability group.
THE BIGGEST RIPPLE: LASTING CHANGE
A few months later, an ad popped up in my social media feed about Dean Graziosi and Tony Robbins. I asked both of the ladies for their opinion; had they attended their conferences before, and if so, what was their experience?
They both encouraged me to attend and be fully present for the virtual conference in August 2022, and next thing I knew, Barbara and I are dancing with energy at her house as we attended another virtual conference together. And yes, we made the big screen dancing!
The rest of my journey was incredible. I invested in myself, in my business, and joined Dean Graziosi and the Mastermind team for 12 intense life-changing and business-impacting months. And yes, many big screen dance moves throughout my journey (including my most recent big screen moment in front of Tony Robbins with my son as we did the griddy), as well as a few hot seats, shares, and being highlighted as a client success story. I can honestly say I am grateful my path has shared so many opportunities to learn from others to help me create the business I know is possible, as I become the woman I want to be.
While I don't remember who invited me to that very first meeting, it may have been a neighbor, I want to give a huge mahalo to Barbara Wichman for starting the Ripple Effect by moving I-beams with me for hours. Without you and Tracie Marciniak encouraging me along my self-development journey, and sometimes seeing my growth before I was able to, I would have possibly lost more years while I figured it out on my own.
POWERFUL AND ONGOING IMPACT
Now I have the benefit of more knowledge so that I can impact other business owners and create more positive ripples such as business growth, you feel fulfilled, hire additional team members and/or vendors, happy clients, quality time with your family, and so much more.
